In Sonas you can export your calendar in the ICS file format which can then be subscribed to in other applications which support it, such as the native calendar in iOS or Google Calendar.  There are two calendars available for each venue, the public with non-sensitive information and the private, with staff meetings etc.  Both calendars includes the previous month and all events into the future.

The Public Calendar includes:

  • Events with status (all completed, dates on hold, pre-confirmed)
  • Open Days, Public Holidays, Maintenance and Photo Shoots
  • Tastings

The Private Calendar includes:

  • Meetings, Show Arounds / Viewings, and Item Deliveries with exact times and staff initials.
  • Staff Holidays

*Note: Please take care with your calendar that you do not share it with anyone who should not have access to this information.  If you do think you've accidentaly shared it please contact us and we will invalidate the link for you.

Step-by-step guide:
  • Navigate to the Calendar section and click on Actions
  • Select either Export Public or Export Private depending on which you would like (see differences earlier in the article)
  • In the dialog you must select the venue you wish to export and click Export
  • You will now see the URL for your calendar.  If your OS supports it you can click the button to copy the URL to the paste buffer, if not (like with iOS) you will have to select it and copy it yourself.

How to use the Calendar Link?

There are a multitude of ways to subscribe to the calendar so here are some guides for the most common.

Mac: Subscribing on Mac

iOS: If you don't have a Mac too you can use this method to set it up directly on your iPhone or iPad. Subscribing on iOS

Android: The easiest way here is to use google calendar and sync directly with that. Subscribing with Google Calendar

Synchronisation

Sonas will synchronise your calendar every hour (on the half hour) but you may notice that your calendar doesn't automatically update.  This is because some providers cache the results. The worst offender here is google calendar which can take between 8 and 12 hours to update.  On iOS/MacOS it's a lot faster and you can also ask for a manual refresh when you're viewing the list of calendars.
