Sonas allows you to give each event a unique name. This name appears in the event header (for both staff users and in the customer portal) and can also be used to search for the event in your event list.

Naming your event clearly and consistently helps keep things organised and makes it easier to find and manage.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the General section of the event you wish to name:
    Event > General

  2. At the top of the section, locate the Event Name field.

  3. Enter a name for your event.
    This can be anything meaningful to you or your customers (e.g. Sarah & James’ Wedding, Summer Gala 2025, Charity Auction – London).

  4. If you leave this field blank, the system will default to using the customer’s name.

  5. Click Save.

  6. You’ll now see the name appear in the event header.

Changing the Name Later

You can update the event name at any time:

  • Go to Event > General

  • Edit the Event Name field

  • Click Save to apply your changes
